Mission Team Visit 2023

This year has been a blessing because we had visits from our mission teams. It was our honor to have these teams. With the exception of Craig and Joann Schaum, the rest of the September mission team were here for the first time. The team was a joy to have. They were so glad and ready to have fun with the girls. We enjoyed learning new songs led by Pastor Mark. The songs were so catchy and animated, that it has stuck with the girls to date. We enjoyed a tour at the Nairobi National Park, where we all got to learn the importance of preserving nature and wildlife. We also got up close visits by the resident baboons, and even stumbled on a welcome performance by a Maasai group near our tour station.

What stood out about this mission team was their passion for service. A number of the team members were well established professionals in various fields, who gave of their rich knowledge of the church through sharing experiences and lessons with us. Some of the mission team members serve full time at the church in the USA. This was great motivation to us as staff and the girls, because it reminded us that the gifts God has given us are to be used in service to God’s work and we are a testament of people’s gifts to our Home.
