Helping Flood Victims
While PCH did not experience significant damage from the recent floods, there were other communities that did not fare as well. There was a land slide in Mai Mahiu as well as Kimende, which resulted in families, schools, and churches being displaced, loss of lives, and an immense loss of property. It was a national tragedy that happened unexpectedly. Because we have been blessed by a community of believers from the US, we wanted to be a blessing to others. The Joram GM Providence Children’s Home community gave what they had through individual donations from staff and students, which was used to buy food that was presented to the impacted Seneida Academy. On the day that the JGMA and PCH delegates arrived, the school had just run out of all their food reserve and our humble donation was an answer to prayer for that community.
