What is New at Providence

A shout out to the June 2021 Mission Team who raised the funds to remodel our Rehoboth Home and the Larry Watson Learning Center building. The Learning Center is now open with new classrooms and furniture. Students started using them on January 23rd for the 2023 first term. The new computer lab, funded by a mighty donor, is also housed in this building, with new furniture and new computers. We are the only school in our area to offer teaching technology in every classroom and to have a computer lab. Our community stands in awe.

For many years we have had electrical issues on our campus due to our outdated and overloaded main electrical circuit panel. At one point wires melted in our dining hall due to the electrical wiring, and we were lucky to avoid a fire. It is because of another amazing donor that we are now able to redo the electric panel and the panel room. That project is underway now. Thank you to this special person who is an example of how God touches someone’s heart. Just one look at the current panel in the photo to the right and you will see why this is such a huge infrastructure need.

God has blessed this ministry with such wonderful supporters. We say that a lot in our newsletters and elsewhere. We just want you to know how very thankful we are for you. The joint Board members work very hard to be wise and good stewards of the of the resources you provide to glorify God. All our administrative costs are paid for by our Board members so that every penny you donate goes directly to the benefit of the girls’ care and their education. It wasn’t that long ago that the lack of fundraisers due to COVID caused concern for how we were going to make budget to continue to support our girls. You, our generous donors, responded once again and we are back on track. We are working to get our fundraisers rolling once again and ask for your prayers as we move forward. Thank you for partnering with us. The girl’s regularly express their gratitude to you for helping them fulfill God’s plan for their lives.
