Vivian's Progress

This will be a story of God’s amazing grace that will never be forgotten. In November and December 2022, we cried seeing Vivian confined to a bed and wheelchair. For those who are new to our PCH family, Vivian was attending a local high school when a freak cyclone ripped through the campus bringing the walls down on top of her and other students. Vivian survived, but was paralyzed from the waist down. Doctors told her that she would never walk again. The entire PCH family was devastated.

However, God had a different plan for Vivian which included a miracle. After being in the hospital for almost two months Vivian was admitted into a rehab facility thanks to the funds raised by the Toledo, Ohio Washington Church. Vivian at one point felt defeated, but no one stopped praying for a miracle…and a miracle came. She started regaining feeling back into her legs and eventually was able to stand. She worked very hard through many therapy sessions and she was eventually able to take her first steps. She is still a long way from making a full recovery, but she can now walk slowly with little support. In fact, at the time this newsletter was being written, we learned that Vivian will be released to return to PCH to continue her recovery. Being with her sisters is the best environment for her.

Our God is a prayer answering God and we are here to give testimony of the miracle He has granted us. The reports from the doctors were discouraging but the signs from our God were humbling and miraculous. Vivian’s faith and attitude has helped her to overcome the challenging therapy she went through. Vivian appreciates every dollar that has been donated to make her walk again. GOD IS SO SO GOOD!!!
