Staff Transitions

Two of our staff members have left PCH and proceeded to educational institutions as a part of their professional journey. We said good bye to Mum Lucy in June. She was one of our assistant house mothers at Rehoboth. She had a genuine heart of service, passionately guided our girls, and went out of her way to ensure they were well cared for and grounded holistically. Among the staff she was kind, honest, reserved and genuine in her interactions. Her leaving has been a loss felt by both the girls and PCH at large.

Additionally, Moureen, our Social Worker, transitioned professionally and left PCH in August. Her legacy is that she was very skilled at tracking down our girls’ relatives when there were thought to be none. Now a number of our girls have a sense of identity, community, and family to go home to during the holidays. Moureen was warm and friendly to the girls and walked a number of journeys with them as she spearheaded the family reintegration process for PCH. Her cheerful spirit and warm embrace was wonderful. Moureen has traveled to Canada to attend college and study to be a health professional. She will be missed in so many ways.
