Larry & Brenda Watson Learning Center Project
The Larry & Brenda Watson Learning Center, also known as the Old Girls Dorm Building, has been mostly unusable for a very long time. We want to thank our friends Tim and Lauri Harrison for providing the matching fund money to get this project off the ground. Many donors responded and after receiving all the matching funds, the project is underway. The building will receive a full face lift and the upstairs will be divided into four classrooms. The Library, constructed by the 2018 Mission Team, will have a reading room connected to it again and the classroom in the girl’s dormitory building will be moved to this location. Tim & Lauri Harrison also funded new laptops and furniture for upgrading the computer lab which will be in one of the new upstairs classrooms. It will be beautiful and students will have access to these computers and the internet. No other school anywhere in the area has this type of technology and WIFI service, thanks to the 2021 June Mission Team. Teachers now instruct with a laptop, projector and document camera in every classroom and students receive rich instruction that comes with this technology and an upgraded WIFI system.
