Day of the African Child

Each year the Children’s Department, Kenya, hosts an event that celebrates the African child. Our girls had the opportunity to perform during this year’s event. They showcased their talents through the spoken word and dance. The theme this year was “Eliminating Harmful Practices Affecting Children” This theme aligned well with our mission to protect girls from harmful archaic tribal practices such as early marriage and female genital mutilation. Thanks to our donors, Mopiyan and Seton escaped these practices and are now enjoying education and safety at PCH.
