Message from Mum Jane Mahui ( Home Manager)
Happy New Year PCH Family!! Amidst the COVID pandemic, I thank God for keeping PCH and JGMA family safe. That we were able to continue with this mission smoothly is something I do not take for granted. PCH manages its financial resources to the last coin, not just with providing the bare necessities, but with extra gifts and treats for our girls that can only be God’s doing.
It is humbling and rewarding to see the girls’ transition to different levels and new seasons. As reported here, some who were not able to read and write when admitted are now able to do so. We are also happy to see growth in their levels of confidence and self-awareness. Our home assessments and tracing efforts continue to bear fruit as we connect our girls with their relatives and assist in reconciling barriers and encourage healthy relationships between them.
The visit by the two mission teams was a special time for the girls. We are especially grateful for the sprucing up of the two houses. Courtesy of the two mission teams, our kitchens are now well equipped. The Ebenezer Home kitchen received a face-lift, we have modern clothes lines and a clothes dryer, a sitting/hosting area at Rehoboth, and we have grass patches at the Rehoboth Home for the girls to play on. In addition, with the installation of a 500 Kg gas cylinder that connects to both kitchens, we no longer have to worry about cooking-gas running out abruptly. These are just some of the things that have enriched our lives here at PCH. May God Bless Providence Ministries, the mission team members, board members and all our wonderful donors. You are appreciated more than you will ever know. The PCH Team looks forward to a great year in 2022 as we continue to serve in this ministry.
