Home Report: New Members

In August we admitted two sisters Sylvia Soipan and Abigael Naipasoi age 6 and 7 years respectively. They are from the Maasai community, and have been cared for by their 70-year-old grandmother. They lost their mother to throat cancer. Their father remarried soon after and is only focused on his second family. He has rejected these little ones. They were rescued to avoid early marriage and their grandmother was not able to provide for their basic needs. Currently, they are enrolled in preschool at our Joram GM Academy in order to improve their literacy levels. They are jovial, curious, jolly and talkative girls. They understand Kiswahili and have some writing skills. So far they have settled well into PCH.
