Christmas & New Year's Celebrations
Happy New Year to our US family. We hope the Christmas Season was a good one for you. We enjoyed Christmas here at PCH and ushered in the New Year with love and joy. The Lord has been faithful and gracious in 2021. Your continued support has enabled us to move on despite the COVID Pandemic that has been persistent. Our highlight of 2021 was the visit by the Mission Teams in the months of June and September. We have such wonderful memories of joy and happiness during the moments we shared.
The girls were excited to have Christ born in their hearts and participated in Christmas activities with carols, new clothes, gifts and special meals. The celebration cakes in the photo were baked by our own Cynthia Lutome in the photo on the right. Cynthia has grown up and is out on her
own now. She has a baking business in our community. She is amazing with her design and baking skills and is well known throughout the area. She is truly a PCH success story and we congratulate her.
Preparations started early for Christmas after school closed and decorating was done in earnest. A Christmas tree was placed in the middle of each of the two houses. Bible verses were compiled to help the girls prepare their hearts for the true meaning of Christmas: celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus. They had their Christmas special moment as they received beautiful gifts from the wish list which included clothing and shoes. They were able to choose their dress design according to their individual style. They all looked beautiful. Thank you PCH sponsors and donors for enabling our girls to enjoy Christmas alongside other Christians throughout the world.
On New Years Eve, the girls stayed awake till midnight where they sang and prayed as they ushered in 2022. We celebrated on New Years day in a special way by visiting Sons of Manasseh Children’s Home. PCH girls donated some of their own clothing items. They cooked lunch for them, entertained and played games together. The girls felt grateful as they compared their infrastructure to that of Mannaseh’s, and indeed they had a reason to thank God for you, their donors and sponsors, who provide for their beautiful home.
