PCH does not currently offer individual child sponsorships. However, it is possible to be a sponsor for an orphan home family. It costs about $100/month to feed, clothe, educate, house, and care for the mental and social needs of each child. If you would like to be a sponsor for the existing orphan home, a donation of $100/month will enable you to receive a monthly letter written by one of the children at the home. You will also be provided with a quarterly update from the home mother on the activities of the children.
Another way to sponsor a family is to get the jump on the new orphan home that will be established once the new building is completed. Monthly contributions at this time can be designated to provide furnishings for the new house and to pay for the start-up costs of bringing new children to PCH. These costs include new clothes, school uniforms, medical tests, and other physical needs that must be met in order to acclimate the children to their new environment. Once the children are at the home, your monthly contribution will continue to provide for the regular ongoing needs of the children.
Special donations can be made for special events or celebrations such as birthdays or holidays to provide gifts or to underwrite the cost of the celebrations. Just designate your contribution for special orphanage events.
